Challenge

The customer needed to replace the old and inefficient gas boilers within the existing boiler room, while retaining the existing pipework and hot water storage systems. The lack of space within the boiler room and the complex flue system also needed to be accounted for.

In addition, we had to make sure that there was no disruption to the heating or hot water supply during the project, and provisions had to be made for changing the hot water storage system in the near future.

SOLUTION

Roselands heating replaced the three existing boilers with two high-efficiency Hamworthy Purewell Variheat gas boilers, complete with a reverse return header. These new boilers produced an equivalent output but freed up valuable space due to their relatively compact design.

Due to careful planning and detailed method statements, continuous heating and hot water were maintained for the entire duration of the works.
